Our Staff
Born and bred in Queens, Tony attended NYU College of Dentistry and did his residency training at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. He has been practicing general dentistry at Astoria Modern Family Dental for over 10 years. Tony teaches dentistry at Flushing hospital as an attending dentist, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists and the Queens County Dental Society. A big Yankee (even though he grew up in Queens), Giant and Knick fan, Tony lives with his wife Tina and two sons in Westchester County.
Dr. Richard Manuelian received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from New York University's College of Arts and Science in 1998. In 2002, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry. He continued his training as a resident at St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital's general dentistry program in Manhattan. His education and training during this time allowed him to develop his skills in dentistry while working alongside many top dentists who are specialists in their fields. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New York State Dental Society and the Queens County Dental Society.

Dr. Nicole Lam was born and raised in Queens, and stayed in New York for her bachelor’s degree in economics at Barnard College. She went onto complete a post-baccalaureate program at CUNY Hunter College. She completed her dental education and training at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She returned to New York to complete a general practice residency at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. She spent this year working on cosmetic cases, root canal therapy, advanced perio treatment, and removable prosthetics.
Dr. Lam believes in keeping her patients at the forefront of their treatment. She is meticulous by nature, as she formulates optimal treatment plans for her patients. Dedicated to a practice of only the highest quality, Dr. Lam follows a holistic and ethical approach to dentistry. She is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. When she is not working, Dr. Lam values time with her family and friends, doing yoga, and traveling the world.
Dr. Sung Park received her dental degree from Boston University and completed her residency at Lutheran Medical Center. She currently practices at Astoria Modern Family Dentistry in Astoria, NY, and has almost 10 years of experience in dentistry.
A dedicated professional, Dr. Park manages a wide array of patient concerns, such as fillings, root canals, dentures, and tooth extractions. Comfortable with different areas of dentistry, Dr. Park stays updated with newer techniques and learnings to provide suitable treatment options to her patients. She is also a member of the American Dental Association.
As Dr. Park is bilingual in English and Korean, patients from a variety of backgrounds enjoy having her as their dentist. She recognizes that many patients may not be completely comfortable with visiting a dentist and so she endeavors to make dental visits a low-stress experience with minimal discomfort.
