Although I ended up having to get a referral for emergency tooth work, this place was exceptionally helpful in locating a nearby doctor and called ahead so I could receive quick care. Outstanding service and I will def' go back to here for regular care thanks to their great service. Please note there is another dental service on Steinway with a similar name. Be sure you go to the one for Astoria Modern Family Dental at the right location.

So, I finally got the courage to go to the dentist because I am scared of every dentist I've ever went to because each one has something different to say. So, I decided to go here because they accept Medicaid. The young girl that did my x-rays was really nice and addressed all my concerns. When I finally saw the doctor (dr.bryd) I was put at ease. She was very nice and calm and listened to everything I had to say. I have to say when she cleaned my teeth it didn't hurt on bit. She did a nice job on the cleaning.

My hygienist, xray technician, and Dr. Chen were fantastic! They put me at ease right away and explained everything in detail. I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist and they were very personable and made me feel comfortable.

Dr. Chen is professional in his kraft. He doesn't make you feel like you are a patient. He treats you like he knew for a very long time. He answers any questions you might have and he makes you feel as comfortable as possible. I think he's BEST.
